Shaun Smith Home is a residential/commercial design firm and boutique and we also do home staging. Here are some pictures of a recent home in Uptown New Orleans that was staged...

Equestrian Chic

We are loving anything equestrian here at Shaun Smith Home and thought we'd share some Equestrian Chic designs with you!

Ralph Lauren famously brought this style to the forefront and helped it become an American Classic. We like to take our own spin on this timeless classic...

SSH red velvet pillow, Vintage Chesterfield Sofa, Vintage Crest

Think about mixing textures and colors like worn leather, velvet, reds, blacks, buckles, etc.

And even get inspired by artwork!

Vintage Horse Collar at SSH

We love the worn leather around the buckles of this vintage horse collar here at the store.

Don't be afraid to go bold with this style - the bigger the better!

Speaking of big and bold, we have this huge metal horse head here at the store!

It's so fun and adds some personality to any space.

Oh and if you want to go REALLY bold, how about this floor lamp?

Yeah... that might be a little too much for us too. ;)

There's also a great book, Equestrian Style by Vicky Moon that's a fun read.

Hope you enjoyed some of our ideas!

Crazy for Tortoise!

We are loving Tortoise Shells these days!

Aren't these Mid-Century sconces great?!

We also have an actual tortoise shell that's been made into a light.

For a more modern look, we have these paper mache shells painted in a high gloss white.

They really pop against the dark grey wall!

What about you? Any animal obsessions you like to carry into home decor?

Welcome!

Welcome to the Shaun Smith Home blog!

We hope you enjoy! :)
